Shift en
Vogue

There’s been a shift in the vogue
It’s wreaking havoc with my mirror
Warping
Cracking
Reflecting and image so distorted
It has to be
Real, beauty is only skin deep
If that skin is unblemished and
Cocoons the correct amount of fat
But I just don’t know because my mirror is
Tarnished by the vogue as it shifts
Torques and twists into a carnival room
Strange, nightmare images
Flickering across the surface
We’re supposed to love ourselves
The way we are, is too thin for
There’s been a shift in the vogue
Thin’s not in
But we still can’t tell what is
Because our mirrors are hypocrites
